9.6.21 Clear Spring Campground

On September 6th we started our ninth anniversary vacation to Michigan and everyplace in between!

We stayed at site B04. The site has water and electric hook ups, dump station, shade, level, easy access, cell service, fire pit, grill, restrooms and is lake/waterfront.

We saved 50% with our PP pass, so our site rate was $13/night.

9/6/21

Our drive was uneventful, which is good! The campsite is AWESOME! We went into Texarkana to cache. We had difficulties finding a resaurant that was open on a Monday AND a holiday. We found 2 breweries, but both are closed on Monday. Made a stop at Walmart (ant spray for tomorrow night per recent reviews) and CVS for an inhaler (I can't breathe or stop coughing). Dinner was a challenge, but ended up at Hopkins Icehouse. Very little non-commercial beer on tap (I think there were 2) and service was not so great. My chicken avocado burger was excellent, but Julio had NO diet soda options and didn't care for his chicken fried steak.

I'm looking forward to the sunrise in the morning. Alarm is SET!

I got up in time to see the sunrise. What a perfect location! There was steam rising off the lake which was illuminated by the rising sun. a great way to start the day! God, coffee and a beautiful sunrise 😄

We are all packed up and pulling out by 9am! Looking forward to being able to set up and tear down without all the work of the pop up.
